Welcome to Samtida Musik and our jubilee season!

November 27th 1960 Samtida Musik gave its first concert, in Börssalen (the stock exchange hall), in another world.
The music world of today is diversified. Surely there are those who miss the time, when there was an avant-garde to stick at or to dissociate from, while others enjoy the freedom to do what you want.

No matter where you stand , you should be able to establish the fact that musical life today indefinitely is a lot bigger, broader, richer and more open than the that of 1960.
On the other hand there is neither time nor reason to stop in satisfaction. There is still so much to do, so much audience to reach, so much music to perform.
Samtida Musik has been an important part of the last 50 years of Swedish musical life. Now we are working towards future. Wow!
We will return to the celebration of the jubilee in the autumn. On Saturday 27th November a festival concert at Capitol will celebrate Samtida Musik 50 years.

The spring program is international with emphasis on American music, music from USA .
